Penalty and Warning System

1. Basic Principles of the System

A. Clarity: The disciplinary regulations must be clear and communicated to all students at the beginning of the academic year.
B. Gradualness: Penalties should begin with simple warnings and escalate based on the frequency and severity of the violation.
C. Justice: Penalties must be applied equally and fairly to everyone.
D. Right to Defense: Students should be given the opportunity to appeal or defend themselves.
E. Awareness: The disciplinary system must be accompanied by continuous awareness and education efforts.

2. Components of the Penalty and Warning System

2.1: Types of Warnings:

A. Verbal warning by a faculty member in case of a minor violation.
B. First written warning recorded in the student's file.
C. Final written warning followed by an official warning if the violation is repeated.

2.2: Types of Official Warnings:

A. First Warning: Strong written warning signed by the student.
B. Final Warning: Issued before the application of academic penalties.
C. Temporary or Permanent Dismissal: In cases of repeated major violations.

Centralized database for each student documenting all warnings and penalties.
The student shall be notified through their academic email or the official platform.

4. Student Disciplinary Committee

A. Composed of faculty members, a student representative, and a student affairs staff member.
B. Reviews major cases and makes decisions after hearing both parties.
